Dr. Lee and Lori Wilbur

Lee and Lori Wilbur were called by faith to create Divine Mercy Health Center as a means to help the most disadvantaged improve their quality of life and achieve their best health. Lee is an Emergency Medicine physician and Lori is trained as a Physical Therapist. Through prayer, experience in the current health care industry, and works of service to their community, the Wilbur’s have come to believe that, irrespective of our advantages or disadvantages in life, we are all united by our human dignity. Lee and Lori believe that ALL individuals and families are entitled to opportunities to attain their optimal physical, mental, and spiritual health. 

They understand that vulnerable and marginalized populations disproportionately suffer more barriers to improved health which include poverty, low education, housing insecurity, hunger, and transportation issues just to name a few. They asked themselves a simple question, “If Christ took over the health care system today, how would He do it?”. And that is how Divine Mercy Health Center was born. DMHC created the ‘Neighborhood First’ approach to improved health. Divine Mercy builds trusted relationships with the community by conducting free medical missions in churches located in zip codes that are most in need. The DMHC Care Connection team then works with each patient to connect them to essential services in the community to overcome the barriers that were once preventing them from achieving their best health. In 2024, Divine Mercy opened their first of many full-service primary care community clinics to serve those most in need.
