Little Rock, AR March 18, 2025 — Divine Mercy Health Center (DMHC) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant of $2,500 from Bank OZK. The funds will directly support the Medical Missions Program, a key initiative that provides essential healthcare services to underserved communities throughout Central Arkansas, and eventually, across the state.

DMHC’s Medical Missions Program offers free health screenings, medical consultations, and educational resources to low-income individuals and families, many of whom lack access to traditional healthcare services. These missions are held nearly monthly at local houses of worship and focus on addressing both immediate medical needs and long-term health maintenance, including the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. DMHC’s brick-and-mortar clinic provides comprehensive primary care, mental health, and addiction peer support recovery, in addition to the nearly monthly medical missions.

“We are incredibly grateful to Bank OZK for their support of our Medical Missions Program,” said Dr. Lee Wilbur, co-founder of Divine Mercy Health Center. “This grant will allow us to continue providing critical care to those who need it most, and it will enable us to expand our outreach to even more underserved communities in the future.”

The $2,500 grant will fund the purchase of essential medical supplies for upcoming missions, including blood pressure monitors, glucometers, point-of-care lab supplies, and educational materials. These resources are vital in ensuring that patients are not only treated for immediate health issues but are also empowered with the tools and knowledge necessary to manage their health long-term.

“The commitment of Bank OZK to improving healthcare access in our community is invaluable,” said Lori Wilbur, co-founder of Divine Mercy Health Center. “Their support will help us serve more patients, improve health outcomes, and ultimately reduce the healthcare disparities in Central Arkansas.”

In addition to providing medical supplies, the grant will also help support the efforts of volunteers who donate their time and expertise to the mission. Volunteers play a vital role in helping DMHC offer comprehensive care and educational services, which include managing chronic health conditions and promoting preventative health practices.
